Conference of the Nomos: Centre for International Research on Law, Culture and Power and the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University.

This year's fourth edition of the Nomos Conference marks sixty years since the publication of what is arguably the most important work in the field of law and political economy. In November 1965, a collective of French authors published Lire le Capital, revisiting and reevaluating the philosophical significance of Marx's critique. Following the example of these intellectual pioneers, we seek to reconvene to discuss the enduring relevance of this work in today's world. We welcome abstracts (200–300 words) for individual papers and panels, that engage critically with the relationship between law and political economy. Interdisciplinary approaches are highly encouraged. Contributions can address theoretical, historical, or empirical dimensions of the topic and may include case studies, comparative analyses, or reflections on praxis.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation.
